Mosman House
Managing to make the front page of Sydney Morning Herald’s Domain, speaks to the quality of this home built by the team at JRFS.
The bulk of the structural was hand built by the team. Exposed ceiling joists with v groove timber, custom oversized skylights, solid blackbutt timber columns and beams throughout. Double-glazed timber doors with large sledding has a unique system called lift and slide, making moving these large doors easy and when shut sealing well to maximise insulation.
A European style hydronic heating system throughout, with a mixture of polished concrete, american oak and handmade tiles installed. Solid brass kickboards adding that final touch of class to a well-designed kitchen.
The external of the house has cedar cladding, standing seam colour bond and bag rendered brick. Off form concrete planter box for the existing magnolia tree was also craned in.
